Venoduo is Sandoz’s Diosmin Hesperidin product, and is treated as a non-prescription medicine in Hungary.
It is used at the treatments for signs of chronic venous insufficiency and for symptoms associated with acute hemorrhoidal crisis.

Losartan Sandoz® launched in Ukraine
As a part of the growing RX Cardio portfolio Losartan Sandoz® was successfully launched in Ukraine.
Losartan Sandoz® 100 mg was launched on the February 1, 2023, with Losartan Sandoz® 50 mg following on the May 16, 2023. Losartan Sandoz® is indicated for the treatment of essential arterial hypertension in adults, kidney disease, heart failure, and reducing the risk of stroke in adult patients with arterial hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy.

In a comparison to other countries in Europe, а relatively small number of patients with rheumatoid arthritis undergo biological treatments in Bulgaria. Treatment-related costs present one of the main barriers.
Sandoz Bulgaria started an innovative nationwide patient support program called “Making Access Happen: Providing Free Laboratory Testing to Bio-Eligible Patients, thus helping them overcome the barriers imposed by costly testing and improving their access to biological treatment.

June 1, 2023 is the date that Slovak patients with myeloma will remember forever. On this day, a new regulation came into action providing full reimbursement of lenalidomide in maintenance for Slovak myeloma patients after ASCT (autologous stem cell transplant) and VRD (bortezomib, lenalidomide, dexamethasone) combinations in first line of treatment for myeloma patients ineligibles for ASCT.
This important milestone is a result of three years of dedicated work by the Sandoz Slovakia team.

Sandoz announced an investment of approximately USD 90 million at its location in Ljubljana, Slovenia to establish a dedicated Sandoz Biopharma Development Center by 2026.
With this investment, Lek’s Ljubljana site will become one of the key locations for biosimilar product development at Sandoz.

In the spring, the Slovakian team had the great pleasure of hosting Rebecca Guntern, Head of Europe Sandoz and Region Europe leadership team at their office in Bratislava. It was Rebecca’s first visit to Bratislava and a great opportunity to meet the Slovakian team, and experience their competences and deep passion for work.

At the end of June, the whole Procurement Europe Cluster II team met for a workshop in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The main objectives of the two-day event were meeting all team members of the (new) Region Europe Cluster II Procurement team, and getting ready to operate independently from Novartis.

In the beginning of April, the Slovenian and Croatian teams joined their efforts and organized the highly successful »Advanced Approach in the Treatment of Neutropenia« round table discussion. They welcomed esteemed experts in the field of oncology and haemato-oncology from Slovenia and Croatia to discuss the place of supportive therapy with G-CSF in the daily management of patients.

Lek has been a longtime supporter of the Slovenian IBD Association. The two organizations marked this year World Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Day, which takes place on May 19, with the publishing of a special booklet on IBD and family planning for people with this chronic, immune-mediated disease.
